Our trip to BabiesRUs was PAINFUL. We were there for three hours and finally purchased a stroller. It wasn't the stroller we'd registered for (one that I'd spent alot of time online researching) as apparently, they don't carry it in the store; only online.
Do you know how confusing some of this baby stuff can be? First, there are many types of strollers: umbrella strollers, jogging strollers, "travel systems" (a car seat and matching stroller), etc. We received a car seat from a friend whose baby has outgrown it. Not all strollers are compatible with all car seats. And there are strollers that are all fancy and have temperature monitors for the baby, plus other accoutrements such as cup holders. Also, did you guys know the Jeep company makes a stroller? And Eddie Bauer? Your stroller could match your SUV!
When we finally chose a stroller (a Peg Perego incase anyone is interested) they appeared to be out of stock. We wandered around the store looking for things we "might" need (such as an ear thermometer and a cute bunny hat - very important, I know). As we were checking out we realized we should have asked them to look in the back stock for the stroller and so we asked the girl checking us out to find someone to check for us. BabiesRUs is a huge warehouse so we didn't think this would be a problem. It took three people and thirty minutes nearly for us to find someone to locate our stroller. I am not sure why this was so difficult, but at last we have our stroller.

Your trip to BRU reminds me that although it is HUGE and a bit overpriced, it does have one great quality: they have a "mother's room" where you can sit down and nurse your baby! Just wanted to share :)

Did you, at 8 months pregnant, just use the word "accoutrements" in a sentence? Pregnancy brain must be taking a day off. Oh, and you rock.

I've been looking around for places that have mother's rooms. It's true that there aren't many...
